"We Care" Role Model Program
WE CARE is a youth motivational program instituted by the Chicago Police Department's Youth Investigations Section in conjunction with the Chicago Public Schools. WE CARE's objectives are three fold: to help young people gain greater self-esteem; to motivate students to stay in school; and to emphasize the importance and need for education their life.
WE CARE with the cooperation of the Chicago Public Schools, allows individuals from all walks of life to make role model appearances and conduct motivational sessions in the schools. All Chicago Public Schools, along with private schools, are eligible to participate and can contact the Youth Investigations Section to make arrangements to have guest speakers address their students and or assemblies.
Some of the desired topics are:
- Health/Human Services
- Public Safety
- Children Welfare
- Education/Technical support
Our network of professionals offers many voluntary hours per year helping each child discover their unique potential – academically, socially, and interpersonally. Our goal is to assure that every child is educated, knowledgeable and safe in the City of Chicago.
