Domestic Violence Among the Elderly in Chicago, 2005   Adobe Portable Document Format
  In 2005, elderly persons 60 and over were 7.1 percent of total crime victims, and 2.9 percent of domestic violence victims, compared to 13.3 percent of the Chicago population.

  On March 4, 2012, the Chicago Police Demartment consolidated and modified boundaries of selected districts. January through June, domestic-related call events increased by 944 or 1.0% citywide in 2012 over 2011; call events of domestic disturbances increased 2.3%, but call events for domestic batteries decreased by 1.9% and call events for violations of an order of protection fell by 2.9%.
